Young Woman from Murray

This cabinet card depicting an unknown young woman from Calloway County is by the photographer Bray of Murray, Kentucky. The scalloped edges of the card date it from around 1886 to 1900. Her hair style and dress indicate that the photo was probably taken early in that time frame, probably before 1890.

The Mysterious Eula Murrell

This photo was identified as Eula Murrell and found in a box of orphan photos in the Jackson Purchase area of Kentucky. There are no listings in area census of the latter part of the 19th century for anyone by that name.

She is seated, wearing a white or pastel dress which may be a wedding dress. The arrangement of flowers on her lap seems far too large for a bridal bouquet, but may be. Her hair style and dress would appear to date the photo in the 1890's.
